Values shown here follow Wordfeud's standard English letter set (they can vary slightly by language edition). The biggest differences from Scrabble: U is cheap in Wordfeud rather than costly, while B, C, G, H and P all cost a point or two more — worth knowing before you dump a "expensive" tile on a low-scoring square.
Why are Wordfeud's tile values different from Scrabble's?
Wordfeud built its own scoring table rather than copying Scrabble's — most notably U is common and cheap (2 points) instead of expensive, while B, C, G, H and P all cost more than their Scrabble equivalents.
Does Wordfeud use the same dictionary as Scrabble?
No — Wordfeud runs its own dictionaries that vary by region and language setting, separate from the official Scrabble word lists. This tool checks against the same general-purpose ENABLE1 list the rest of the site uses, so treat very obscure results with a little caution.
Why is the word list sorted by tile value instead of length here?
Because in Wordfeud, as in Scrabble, the point value of the word you can actually place usually matters more than how many letters it uses — a short word with a Q or Z often outscores a longer, cheaper one.
- A word that scores well here might score even better in-game if it lands on a bonus square — check your board before committing to the highest raw-value option.
- Getting rid of a high-value tile (Q, J, X, Z) even for a modest word is often worth it if you're not confident you'll get a better play for it later.
